PHALANX II. - HORNET

This Framelock-Flipper is a lightweight and practical everyday carry (EDC) accessory. I made the blade from core stainless damascus with an Elmax center. The supporting structure of the knife is made of brushed DLC-coated titanium and the inset handles are made of Zirc-Ti (a composite of titanium and zirconium) with colored anodization. The sandblasted anodized titanium floating bulkhead is defined by anodized titanium spacers. A brushed DLC coated titanium clip is located at the back of the handle. A hidden pin can be placed in the handle to attach a decorative bead. The internal mechanical parts (ceramic bearings and locking ball) are ceramic for the lowest possible friction.
